Genetic Denim has partnered with Denise Rich and Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research by creating a limited-edition “Gabrielle” Jean. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation was created in memory of Gabrielle Rich Aouad. Gabrielle lost her long and valiant struggle with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) at the young age of 27. It was Gabrielle’s wish that a foundation be created to help spare others the suffering she endured. Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research funds basic and clinical medical research in both conventional and integrative disciplines which focus on prevention, treatment and quality of life issues of leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers.
The Gabrielle is a form-fitting and super slimming skinny leg jean. It will retail for $154.00 and Genetic Denim will dontate 100% of the net sales from each purchase to Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. "Genetic Denim is honored to partner with the Foundation to make this special jean named for Denise’s daughter, Gabrielle, and to support this cause," says Genetic Denim Creative Director Ali Fatourechi. "The color of the jean is called the "Brighter Day" and was chosen specifically to signify the goal of the partnership." This limited-edition style will be in stores for Holiday 2009 following the Foundation’s signature fundraising event, The Angel Ball, which will be held on October 20th at Cipriani Wall Street.
